Real things South African small business owners told us before they switched.

😩
Sound familiar?
  • Receipts in a shoebox, invoices in WhatsApp, bank statements on email — tax season is a nightmare
  • You don't know if you made a profit this month until your accountant tells you — months later
  • SARS deadlines sneak up on you and you're always scrambling to get numbers together in time
  • Your accountant charges R3,000+ a month just to process what you hand them in a panic
  • You have no idea what you owe for VAT or provisional tax until the bill arrives
  • Payroll is a spreadsheet that breaks every month and someone always gets paid wrong
Here's your new normal
  • Every invoice, expense and bank transaction in one place — matched automatically as they come in
  • Your profit, cash flow and tax position update live — you always know exactly where you stand
  • SARS deadlines on your dashboard with the numbers pre-filled — submit in minutes, not days
  • Send your accountant a clean monthly pack with one tap — they spend less time, you pay less
  • VAT and provisional tax calculated automatically — no surprises, no penalties
  • Run payroll in seconds — PAYE, UIF and SDL calculated, payslips generated, books updated

What SA business owners are saying

We're a young South African startup — we don't have a thousand reviews yet. We're building something we believe in, and the business owners who have tried it so far have been generous with their feedback.

"I would highly recommend the OneTouch Tax app for those who, like me, don't like to deal with this side of running a business as it takes up too much time. The app has made it very clear and simple to do my monthly reconciliation and to see how well my business is performing. My favourite part is how easy it is to create invoices to send to my clients and how clearly all the info is listed for them. If you want something that is straightforward and easy to understand, try OneTouch."

FAQ

Common questions

If you don't find your answer here, our AI assistant is available in the app.

Does OneTouch export to Xero, Sage or QuickBooks?
Yes. OneTouch exports your transactions in formats compatible with Xero, Sage One and QuickBooks Online. One click from the Bookkeeper Pack section downloads a ready-to-import CSV — your accountant doesn't need to do any cleanup.
What's the difference between OneTouch and just using Excel?
Excel doesn't auto-match your bank statement to your invoices, calculate VAT automatically, or tell you when SARS deadlines are. OneTouch does all of that — and keeps an immutable audit trail. Excel is a spreadsheet. OneTouch is a bookkeeper.
Which South African banks are supported?
FNB, Absa, Standard Bank, Nedbank and Capitec. Export your transactions as CSV or Excel from internet banking and upload the file — OneTouch handles the rest. More banks are added regularly.
Can I use OneTouch if I'm not VAT registered?
Yes. VAT tracking is optional. Non-VAT-registered businesses get all the invoicing, bank reconciliation and bookkeeper pack features — just without VAT calculations. You can enable VAT in settings when you register.
How does my accountant get my books?
Two ways: download the Bookkeeper Pack as a ZIP (P&L, VAT summary, bank reconciliation, invoice register, SARS prep docs) and send it to your accountant — or generate a secure 30-day read-only link they can open without a OneTouch account.
Is there a mobile app?
OneTouch is a web app that works on any phone or desktop browser — no install required. Add it to your home screen and it behaves like a native app. A dedicated iOS and Android app is on our roadmap.
Is OneTouch TaxApp a registered SARS tax practitioner?
No. OneTouch TaxApp is a preparation and organisation tool — not a registered tax practitioner. All documents generated are preparation aids and must be reviewed and submitted by a registered tax practitioner or by yourself via SARS eFiling. We recommend verifying all figures before submitting.
What's the money-back guarantee?
If you're not happy within the first 7 days of your subscription, contact us and we'll refund you in full — no questions asked. You can also cancel anytime from within the app and your plan stays active until the end of the billing period. Your data is always retained.
How does bank reconciliation work?
Export your bank transactions as a CSV or Excel file from your bank's transaction history (FNB, Absa, Standard Bank, Nedbank and Capitec are all supported), then upload it. OneTouch automatically matches each transaction to your invoices, calculates your match rate, and flags anything unresolved. When you hit a high enough match rate, you can lock the month — creating an immutable audit trail for SARS.
How does the AI bank transaction analysis work?
Export your transactions as CSV or Excel from your bank's transaction history and upload the file. Our AI reads every line — it never guesses. It categorises transactions, calculates VAT on claimable items, and flags anything that could trigger a SARS audit. If it can't read a value clearly, it leaves it blank and tells you to fill it in manually.
Is my financial data safe?
Yes. All data is stored securely using Supabase with row-level security — meaning only you can access your data. We are POPIA compliant. We do not sell your data to any third parties, ever.
Can my accountant access my data?
Yes — on the Business plan you can generate a secure, time-limited accountant access link. This gives your accountant read access to your financials without sharing your login. The link expires after 30 days and can be revoked at any time.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, at any time. If you cancel, your subscription ends at the close of your billing period. All your data is retained — nothing is deleted. You can re-upgrade whenever you're ready.
What tax types does OneTouch support?
OneTouch currently supports VAT (VAT201), PAYE (EMP201), Provisional Tax (IRP6) and Corporate Income Tax preparation (ITR14). Personal income tax support is available via our free Personal Tax app. We are continually adding new features.
Can I manage more than one business on one account?
Each OneTouch account supports one business. If you own multiple businesses, you will need a separate account (and separate subscription) for each one. This keeps your books, invoices and tax records completely separate per entity — which is also what SARS requires. Multi-business support is on our roadmap for a future release.
